I am the Seneschal of the Canton of Kaarnemaa. The Seneschal is the chairman of the branch. His duty is to keep the branch alive and prosperous. Seneschal is also the formal and legal representative of your branch both to the SCA and the mundane world. Seneschal should organize the work that needs to be done and also encourage people to do things by noticing and thanking them when something good is done. Eventhough a Seneschal is the leader of the branch he or she still doesn’t hold the absolute authority. You should get used to the power and the lack of it.
